What's with the black face paint under the eyes??? What's it for and.......well, I just don't get it. Does anybody REALLY know what it's for??

It reduces the glare from the sun off objects. Plus player wear it because it looks cool and they think it intimidates or scares the opponent.

football players put the black paint under there eyes to reduce the glare of the light so they can see the football.

it reduces glare of the cheek bones to allow for better vision

to deflect sunlight or stadium lights so that the players (especially receivers) can see the ball better.

it's for glare effect, but i can't understand why no other sportsman dose it also..it's kinda traditional maybe too..
