#1. 2n+3n+7= -41 add 2n and 3n
5n+7= -41 subtract 7 from both sides
5n= -48 divide both sides by 5
n= -48/5 it stays as a fraction.

#2. 2(a-4) +15=13 distribute the 2 to the a and the 4.
2a - 8 +15 = 13 subtract 8 from 15
2a +7 =13 subract 7 from both sides
2a = 6 divide by 2 on both sides
a=3

#3. -4x +3(2x-5)=31 distribute the 3
-4x + 6x - 15 =31 subtract 4 from 6
2x - 15 = 31 add 15 to both sides
2x = 46 divide by 2 on both sides
x=23

sorry its so sloppy. hope this helps. =]

nicely Your fixing For X First You p.c.. the backside selection Thats no longer With A Variable (X) And Subtract It From the different right here bypass's :) 4x+7=3x+18 ^ ^ they're further To the Variables, yet, we would desire to Do the appropriate opposite which may be Subtraction/. So... 7-18=11 that's How Your situation could seem: 4x=3x+11 because of the fact We Moved the 7 To the wonderful area Of The equivalent sign then you quite Do You Variables the backside one Is 3 And Plus Its on the realm With The selection That Doesnt Have A Vairable. So.... 4x-3x=x never placed 1x! x Is Already a million that's Your ending result x=11 And Your finished :)) wish This Helped Ya ;) in case you desire greater help.. Inbox Me :) xxxx

Ok, for number 1. In any equation you have to start with combining like terms. So, an example would be 5n+5n+10=60. When 5n and 5n are combined you get 10n. Then you want to get that 10n by itself so you need to subtract the +10 from both sides leaving you with an equation that looks like 10n=50. Now the objective is to Get N by itself by dividing each side by 10. N=5. The next two are the same concept except you have to start by answering the parenthesis first. So in #2 use foil. 2a multiplied by -8+15=13. Just finish it out my combining like terms just like in the first one.

first you need to combine like terms like take #1 for example:

2n+3n+7=-41 Comebine 2n and 3n
5n+7=-41 Then add 7 to both sides
5n=-64 then divide

5n/5 = -64/5
n=-12.8
