Sure, why not? He didn't name himself, you know so why hold his name against him. Whats in a name anyway? Does every President have to have a white Anglo/American name?
Obama has a chance; he is articulate, intelligent, pleasant & good appearance. Even though he has not been in the political arena very long, has managed to make a name for himself. Unless he trips up along the way, he could have a chance.

I doubt he will. I'm not voting for him, though. He lacks experience. Never heard his name mentioned at all before all this '08 election campaign news came out. Seems he just came out of nowhere and now is all of a sudden a big name in the news - I don't believe he'll make a good president - lacks experience and knowledge - too wet behind the ears!

First we were worried they were going to kill us all. Now we are afraid they are going to be DANCING??? they could dance all they want. Frankly, various the international will be doing a jig at the same time as Bush leaves workplace. His user-friendly-minded frame of mind to complicated issues has left the middle East in worse structure than ever. Too undesirable he did not keep on with his own suggestion to the Turks of their present day mini-invasion of Iraq: Do what you're there to do and get out quick. No, he needs to stay there for one hundred years. His ends justifies the flexibility frame of mind on subject matters like torture have weakened the moral authority of the USA and endangers our troops, who would locate themselves sometime dealing with retaliatory torture. battling instability contained in the middle East will take brains and each and every of the equipment contained in the US arsenal; international kinfolk individuals, economic help and extra. George W Bush's lackadaisical reaction to the probability earlier 9/11 exceeded the terrorists their astounding victory with none competition. His idiotic diversion of substances from the conflict adverse to Al Qaida to the streets of Iraq has allowed its administration to live on, regroup and plot anew. His blundering in Iraq has alienated 1000's of thousands throughout the middle East and made them extra anti-American than they could ever were otherwise. It has aided immeasurably contained in the creation of 1000's of latest terrorists. If there is any dancing contained in the streets it heavily isn't executed by technique of Al Qaida. Their tremendous, incompetent, unintentional benefactor will be lengthy gone.

He can win, if the American people will think for themselves.
He can win, if the American people will be more concerned with the greater good than with their own nasty special interests.
He can win, but we need a lot of people who are fed up with things, who see the beauty in a politically young man, who believe that the young are the true visionaries, and who envision a revolution through the president, not against her/him.

I wish the American people would start focusing on integrity and intelligence in a candidate rather than on silly things like someones name. He didn't name himself, and his parents named him long before Hussein was a household name. It is actually a fairly common name in some parts of the world.

He can win, if he is leading 60/40 the night before in the polls. Since the Obama/Osama joke hasn't stopped him, I don't think his middle name will, either.
