Yeah it's fine, I've had mine for 5 years and he's always done it, it's as if he thinks someone is going to take it away so he has to eat it as fast as he can.

I actually have earlier owned a Black Moore that had saved floating to the exterior and going the different way up. that is definitely the swim bladder, and your fish has been gulping air. Fish in many cases attempt this if there is not any longer sufficient oxygen contained in the water (you want to placed some pond weed in). I also heard that putting somewhat sea salt contained in the water can astounding the challenge, yet dont attempt this till someone can be sure that is the right component to do! Oh btw my fish died about a month when I talked about it doing this.

Yes it's normal!
The only fish I have that doesn't is a large Plecostomus and he's so lazy! Swims at the speed of sound when I want to catch him though!!!

Perfectly normal that's just what fish do

depends on the kind of fish -- goldfish do that 24/7 and don't really need food as a motivation just the thought of food motivates them unless they are too fat to.

don't know but supposedly my aunt says our fish has ADD... it likes to swim around like crazy and then it has this tendency of bonking its head on the side of the tank every so often... lol, it's pretty smart though, if you happen to be in the kitchen in the morning and it sees you it starts making bubbles and this noise to let you know that its hungry... pets... go figure!!!

My fish always do. I think it's normal, I feed them twice a day so it's not like they're starving. They just love food
