I have found a school to go to. I was wondering what the life of a cosmetologist is like. I have 3 kids and I need to be there for them also, but I also need to make a better life for them. So if I could get some answers from a cosmetologist that has kids also it would be very helpful. I just want to make sure that this is a carrer that I will be happy with. So what is your lifestyle like? Is there good money in it? Do you stay to busy to do things with your family?

Cosmetology school is a great choice. In most cases it takes about 1 1/2 years to complete. Depending on the age of your children, go part time BUT complete it. Then take the state board.. pass it..

As a cosmetologist you can work in a salon, for nursing homes, funeral homes, in a shop OR own your own @ your home and do private cosmetology..

Besides the money you can make, follow your dream. Just find a school that can work around your family schedule.

It may be hard and a sacrifice but you can do it.... if you plan right. Remember to make sure the kids are cared for first. It will work out!
