what is the best guitar brand and type?

i am planning on gettin an electric and acoustic guitar and need to know what type of brand to get and the type of model. Thanx and this is only if you know anything about guitars

You might consider your budget first...if you are a beginner and not sure if you will want to stick with it, consider your investment. If you buy a new guitar and later want to sell it, Ebay sales are normaly around 60% of what you paid for it new.....So if that 40% loss is a issue to you, consider a in-expensive guitar to get you started....Some of the best values I have seen are at

If you are considering a bigger budget, then, you can never go wrong (as long as you keep it a few years) with what's known as the "Big Three"........Martin, Gibson, and Fender guitars

ask for free at a guitar center. thats their business. to be sure try more than one.

i don't know wut model....but DEFINATLY get a Gibson Eletric gituar...hope this helps
