You don't say how old you are but it could be hormonal. Happens to women when they get older. The other thing is fibroids in your uterus. That causes "periods" that are more frequent. If it just happens once, I wouldn't worry about it. If it's more than once, you need to check with your doctor to make sure it's not something serious.

I'm not sure, but I had this problem when I was a teenager, mine was at least twice a month and each time lasted at least a week. I hated it. I went to the Dr. and he put me on the pill and it really helped, in fact it was great. Sometimes when you are still a teen your cycle isn't able to regulate itself all the time, this can also happen during other times of your life. I loved being on the pill, I had more control of my cycle and I didn't gain weight, in fact most people don't. Talk to your Dr. and see what options are right for you. Good Luck.

it really depends on how old you are and if you are on the pill and then have come off it. if you only starting your periods in the past year then i think its totally normal to have really irregular ones. its nothing to worry about if you are not having sex. if you are having sex, chances are you are fine, as long as you had safe sex and are sure the condom worked fine. Ive had periods sometimes two weeks betweeneach other. other causes are stress (which can also delay your period) bad diet and over exhertion. but I'd just relax if i were you and try to stay less sressed and healthy. Your body is trying to tell you something.

You should see a Dr to consult about this. Sometimes your period acts weird because of stress, diet and many other things. The Dr is the only one that can give you answers towards your health and body. You get advise but answers, see a Dr.

since you just got it its going to be a little irregular, so don't worry!! it might take 2-3 years for it to regulate.
