What do you think is the main cause of inhouse fighting between iraqi's, palestinians, and lebanese? Do you think that the main reason is that illetracy is high? Shouldn't thier governments pay more attention to their education, make sure that they are all go to school before getting out into the real world? I believe an educated individual will not make the choices that these people are making right now, especially the hate for their fellow countrymen.

You have a cracking point, but would they still fight, its what they have been brainwashed with from birth, education has to be as broad as possible, not just secular.

Gee Milo, you are one angry dude.
1- you ask a question , if the answer doesn't go your way you get all worked out. last week it was me and now poor old (not so sure about either) smutty.
then seriously, how old are you? is going after his name the best you could do?

2- Please take a chill pill, because I'm about to disagree with you again.

Looking at people who are doing the actual fighting for the cause of the conflict is a rather simplistic way.
Believe me, people who have created these conflicts are far from being illiterate, people who are putting weapons in their hands are far from being illiterate, people who are directing the operations....

3- I don't know much about education in palestine, but Saddam had provided public schooling in iraq, the same goes for Lebanon.
You only have to look at where the riots that could have turned into a war started last week: university students, remember...

Now I feel as strongly as you about illiteracy, where I live they spend more money on educating their pets than some countries on their children, but that's a totally different problem and I don't think it's a major factor in wars.

Isn't it ironic that you cant spell illiteracy? Man you should check your spelling before discussing illiteracy issues. For God sake, check your spelling in word processor before posting comments on education standards. You even spelled the illiteracy wrong and that was not a typo, it was a spelling mistake.

Can you provide us with statistics instead of cheap talk? Do you have statistics about illiteracy rates in Lebanon for example?

The educational system in Lebanon is one of the best. As a matter of fact, the American Educational system itself is the one which suffers from serious problems. High School graduates can't even spell. When I was in High School, I had already read Shakespeare, John Keats, Edgar Allan Poe, Lord Byron, and the list goes on and on. Look at you, you can even spell the word illiterate; the fact is that you are not educated enough to grasp the concept of irony LOL.

Thank You.

------ Comments on Additional Details---
The chunk you added does not detail your question Milo. But I again, I declare my mission accomplished; My answer caught your attention. It would have been interesting though had you included statistics to support your view.

You are invited to my party next Saturday.

Thank You Again!!

I think your right. The govt. should pay more attension telling them that they are all for e.g. Lebanese and they should not fight. In schools while a child is learning his early stages they should be thought that there is no diffrences between Sunni, Shiaa and Chirstians, and that they should all love one another. In this way when they grow up they will not be recist and we will have a better future.

Good Idea.

Well, nope, it first starts with the government because they dont know how to keep their country away from troubles, then the stupid people that follow other people into no where but fights all day long, then comes the other countries who are small minded to listen to the first country that started this mess.

I totally agree with John but on the other hand, education doesnt give you common sense. As they say fadallo el fehem 3an el 3elem. Its not rocket science after all brain cells are not given to all the population no matter how much you educate them
