if you can do nothing else yes it can be.

some people get to much thrown at them to carry on with life.

if they feel that is thier only way to go forwards then the ending of life and beginning of death could be the adventure that they need to begin in thier time and at that moment they may feel that that is what they want from life. to know what else if after.

If you are terminally ill and painkillers no longer stop the pain, or if you know this is about to happen....or if you know you have some kind of progressive dementia that will change who you are and ruin the quality of your life while hospital bills mount...

Sure there are circumstances where an individual should have the right to choose death over suffering until imminent death...to have proper closure with loved ones while you still can, then die with dignity.

The problem is, doctors in nearly all states aren't allowed to assist in this kind of humane treatment. And people don't know what to do...what would be painless, quick and effective. You can put down a horse or a puppy...out of love...but not a human.

half/half.
I think suicide is a personal choice. some value life and some don't. some will work as hard as they can to make life better and others don't think its worth the effort.

some have lived so horribly even if they had a complete turn around they will never be the same as others- I can't judge them for choosing to die.

I really can't judge others lives. one person grieves for a death and gets over it in time. another is never the same and think about killing themselves.
some just 'keep-a-goin' and others just can't.
I only know my feelings, I can't begin to judge or claim to understand others

If one had nothing to look forward to except pain, semi-consciousness due to a disease, inability to communicate with loved ones, and devastating the family finances to stay alive in a drugged, semi-consciuos state, then pulling the plug or refusing further treatment might be the best.

Oh my goodness NO.

You never know what tomorrow may hold!

Today might be dark and painful, but seriously, hang in there, focus on something other than yourself, get busy doing something - clean the house, read a good book, go shopping, eat chocolate, watch a funny movie, visit family and/or friends, go to church, exercise, go for a walk, ride a bike, enroll in a class and take something that interests you - do something, anything, to take your mind off you and before you know it, you will feel better.
And once you get busy and involved with something, you'll be surprised what tomorrow holds!

Heck, I never in my life imagined ever visiting Europe, and I never even had the desire to visit Europe, and then out of the blue, I landed a job in Paris and lived there for 2 years!!!!!

It is very, very, very rare circumstances. The only one that I can think of is if you are a spy and the enemy is going to kill you after they tortured you to find out government secrets. Other than that, there is no reason to give up on life, not after all you did to further yourself.

If you have a terminal illness that will kill you in a few months. My dad suffered very badly for about 3 months before his illness finally took his life. There was absolutely NO CHANCE or recovery.... If he had been able to do it I know he would have. I see nothing wrong with putting an end to misery that is absolutely going to end in death anyway.
