I don't really see this as anything amazing, but it gave me a warm feeling inside. I donated a treasured teddy to charity, and they gave me some flowers as a thankyou. I was so surprised, I really didn't expect that. Anyway, on the bus home, there was a young woman who was obviously very mentally unstable. She was shouting, singing, laughing, preaching to herself, and getting a lot of abuse back from the other passengers. I just looked around, and felt so sad that people were angry with her rather than showing any compasson. So, as I left the bus, I gave her the flowers. She was so pleased, I hope it showed her that not everyone is bad. As I said, I don't see this as anything out of the ordinary. It is just something that we should all do if we care about the world and each other enough.

My nephew and I were eating at a restaurant when I noticed a car leaving the parking lot with a purse riding on the roof. We both noticed that the car went just a short way down the highway then turned onto a side road. We were on our way home and that side road was sort of the way home for us so we drove up that way for a bit, when sure enough, there laying on the side of the road was the purse. We stopped and picked it up and found a driver's license of the young lady who had lost it. About 4 or 5 miles up the road we saw a car the right color and make parked at a house, stopped and rang the doorbell. A lady came to the door and we asked her if the young lady who owned the purse lived there and she said yes, and that she had just taken the family car back to the restaurant, where the youg lady worked, because she had forgotten her purse. We probably passed her on the road. We told her what had happened and she invited us in to wait for her daughters return. It wan't long before the young lady returned, came in the front door crying her heart out because she had lost her purse, with her paycheck, her driver's license and credit cards in it. As her mother explained what had happened the girl went through her purse and found everything intact. We told her how we had seen her purse on her car roof and then she remembered setting it there after she had removed her car keys to unlock her car. The young gal offered us a monetary reward but we refused, although we did accept a nice hug and a kiss on the cheek. We certainly made her day.

I had a similar experience to Crockett, only mine had a happy ending. Whilst driving I saw something on the road near a country bus stop, it was a wallet which contained a pension book and about £40.00.in cash. The address was about 15 miles from where I was and in the wrong direction. However as it obviously belonged to an elderly person, I drove there right away. It was a tiny terrace cottage in a village and occupied by an elderly couple. Its` loss had caused them considerable distress, and they were amazed that it had been returned , they were so over joyed, they tried to give me £5.00. as a reward( possibly a lot to them) I eventually settled for a cup of tea and a tomato sandwich. That was four years ago, every so often I call around to see them and to say hello and every Christmas we exchange cards.

One day while coming home from work, i nipped in to the public lavatories in the town centre, whilst relieving myself, I noticed a small what looked at first to be a square of black material but on further investigation it turned out it was a wallet, I could'nt say exactly how much was in it but I estimated at least £2,000! there was an ID card in the wallet showing the owner's name and address. which was in completely the opposite direction to my house,it was pouring with rain, I returned the wallet to it's owner who promptly said "Thanks" and slammed the door in my face! apart from being wet through, I was furious!
