I'd visit the court of Queen Elizabeth I. I am a huge admirer of her achievements both on the political and the personal level.

I have asked the question before, only I asked either past, present or future.
It is like anything else in life. People have some sort of illusion that life would be better or easier if they could change the time period in which they lived. Hence the term "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence."
The fact of the matter is that life has always been the same. The only difference is that we only know how to live in our present time, as opposed to the future or the past, which we are not accustomed to.
I have thought about just being an observer, not getting in the way, but just observe and write historical facts. I try doing that in the present and to me, is an impossiblity. I would always want to change something. It's like just reading and never saying or commenting.
P.S. If you think you can easily change the past, try changing the present.

i know this sounds a bit morbid but i would like to have lived during the civil war period and fought as an officer. i've always respected the men who showed enough courage to walk into the face of the enemy like they did. i wouldn't change a thing because the issue of slavery and a keeping our Union in tack was too big to be handled diplomatically rather by resounding victory on a battlefield. i have all the respect in the world for the great generation but if you ask me this is the greatest and most profound generation ever in our country's history.

I wouldn't really want to go back to far in history. I would like to go back to the 50's. I love that whole James Dean, greaser thing. I love the look, the cars, and just the whole time period. It just seemed like a more interesting time to grow up in. A more simple time.

I would go back to any of the 18th, 19th or20th century and pick-up good people with good news. I'd probably get assasinated!

I'd go back, and tell that idiot who rejected Hitler's application to art school to just let him in so he wouldn't pursue a career in politics.
