No, to harsh?? $5,000 is nothing for T.O.'s stepson. His step daddy usually gets hit for $10,000 for opening his big mouth. You know what they say, like Step Father like Step Son.
GO BEARS!!!

He shouldn't have pointed back at the Bears guy chasing him. Had he just jumped into the endzone, there wouldn't even be a fine. It was the actual "taunting" of the Bears player that got him fined...so, no, I don't think it was too harsh. I mean, what's $5,000 to him, really?

too harsh a message for a little finger point? yes
too harsh of a fine? no --that kid's got money ---even the largest fine the NFL imposes is laughable to the lowest salaries in the league.

maybe for us regular folks $5,000 is a lot for a fine...but come on! the man is getting over $60 mil for five years of doing somethin that i'd give my right arm to do for a day. he knows he was wrong for pointing at Urlacher and that $5000 does mean much at all to him....that's why he's not challenging it.

if it wasn't the NFL, Bush would have paid for pointing at somebody

Why did he get fined

If it was for that TD run, then I am disgusted that the NFL is banning extravagant celebrations. Its celebrations like that which make drunk fans and those looking for humor on a sunday afternoon happy

I think the fact that after that point they never scored again and the bears D took it out on the Saints offense I think he paid enough.

No. He's got more change in his couch than what that fine was.
