I can relate. I used to have a Spanish California Girl accent. I'm from the valley and I speak Spanish, go figure. Nowadays I get teased for speaking properly and without an accent but I'm happy.
How did I lose it? I think choir helped me out a lot because I learned how to pronounce words. Other things that helped me include reading out loud, listening to books on cassettes, and mastering tongue twisters. I also carried a dictionary with me all the time because dictionaries list proper pronunciation keys.
Dictionary.com has a pronunciation key and sound.

There are Linguistic Coaches (dialect) who can teach you how to talk without an accent. These are the same people who teach actors to talk with accents in order to convince us they are Irish or German or whatever. They are probably very expensive since they basically work one-on-one with you. There may be classes out there but I don't know of any, try Googling. Good luck.

***First off people love slight accents. It makes people stand out in a good way.
But if want to get rid of it try listening to someone you want to sound like. A celebrity, Musician, or person you know. Just get their speech down and copy them. Then simply change what you don't like afterwards.

Be proud of who you are. But that's not what you want to hear probably. Maybe you could consult a speech therapist. Because I believe that there are certain sounds made in speech that are learned in childhood and that if you don't learn them then, you can't make them. But maybe a speech therapist could teach you.
