In the US most medical schools require a 4 year BS or BA degree plus the prerequisites (1 year of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Organic Chemistry). There are some US medical schools, often the private ones, that allow you to enter class with around three years of college. This does put you at a disadvantage since you are competing against people who already have an undergraduate degree, and because you are limited to only a handful of schools that you can apply to.

There are a couple of medical programs that will take you right out of high school. One that I know of is UMKC (University of Missouri at Kansas City). This is a 6 year plan and upon graduation you get both an MD and a BS.

As a 4th year med student the best advice I could give would be to complete a 4 year undergraduate degree and then apply to medical school. That will make you competitive and help you get a position. In the UK medicine is taken as an undergraduate degree- after the first 3 years you'll probably end up with a physiology degree and a 1st part BM. the Next few years after that is the clinical stage. After that you get the and part BM and finally graduate. However, medicine is ultra-competitive and there are some restrictions on the number of places that can be awarded to overseas applicants. have a look at http://www.medsci.ox.ac.uk/study/medicine/courses/index_html.

No they don't. As far as i know, most universities in both europe and asia places do not require an undergraduate degree. Because the high school education covers most of the essential topics already for the entrance of medical schools.

Even in the US, technically, they don't. However, I suspect you're just asking because you want to go straight from high school to med school.

Not gonna happen.
