It depends on the quality of stuff you intend to get, and how much friends and family are able to give you. Also the terms you use seem to indicate you may be in Europe so I am not sure what the price comparisons would be to the US.

With all that aside, All you really need is a crib, and a place to store clothes. A changing table is helpful, especially is you are tall, but not necesary. You need a car seat and a stroller (pram) of some sort.

Cribs can run anywhere from about 200 - thousands of dollars. It all depends on what you want out of it and how much you have to spend.. Keep in mind that the crib mattress is usually NOT included and will be extra (usually around 100$).

Stroller/carseats combinations that will work as a car seat for your child until about 22 inces run around 200$ also. You can just get a normal stroller for much cheaper and then find a car seat that will convert from 0 - up to 80 lbs, This can be the cheaper way to go in the long run.

Then you need clothes, diapers, some diaper rash cream (don't go crazy on the baby soaps tho, you will find you wont really use them a whole lot for the first few months, and a small baby tub (most hospitals will send you home with a small tub and some will even send you home with a car seat. Those cute baby towels are really pretty useless but the washrags are invaluble, also you will want to get some cloth diapers for spit up rags. I recommend a swing for your sanity, you can usually get one around 40-60$ new. A bouncy seat is good too, but if you can only get one of them i recommend the swing.

Clothes stick with onesies and slip on pants and sleepers. Maybe one or 2 cute going out ouffits if you want them, but don't go nuts.. They grow like weeds and you will find they may grow too fast to where an outfit once much less multiple times.

If you don't intend to breastfeed you will need at least 4 - 8 oz bottles, you can get some 4 oz bottles too, but they arent necesary. You may want to have a couple if you do breastfeed just in case.

Frankly you could set up a nursery for as little as about 6-800$ (if you don't have anyone to give you anythin), or as much as thousands. It really depends on what you can afford and what you want.

I hope this helps!

It depends on how you go about it. People will buy things for you so keep that in mind before you go out and purchase a lot of items. They won't stay in newborn clothing for very long so unless you plan on having a tiny baby I wouldn't spend a lot of money in that department. The car seat I wouldn't scrimp on. Get the very best that you can afford. You can spend a lot of money on a crib and accessories. I actually purchased a smaller crib and only sheets for it..he does perfectly fine. Be sure and get one that meets safety standards. Remember that a newborn shouldn't have any pillows or blankets in with them. You can swaddle them but I would recommend a swaddling blanket that velcros.

There is simply no "bottom dollar" as to what it will cost. Raising a child is not cheap and there will always be ongoing expenses.

What I would recommend is getting online and doing some comparison shopping..try amazon..they often have things cheaper and if you purchase a set amount you can get free shipping. There are also numerous online baby stores to check out (babymall) and go to your local wal-mart, target, or even a dollar store (for clothes). I was able to get my son the cutest halloween outfit at a dollar store..they were the only ones in town who sold infant sized outfits. You could also try garage sales for clothes. Finally, I don't know if they have one where you live or not but about an hour from where I live is a baby exchange and parents bring in their baby items which are then cleaned and re-sold at discounted prices. Some of the stuff is brand new.

Just some ideas.

Your best bet is to go somewhere like Craigslist or resale shops to save money. A pram (crib) will run at the very least 199.00, clothes (You are better off with basic stuff and onesies-dont go crazy) are anywhere from 3.00 to 20.00 each. Changing Table is another 59.99. You will need a vibrating chair. That is usually around 24.99. A swing can run anywhere from 49.99 to 129.99. Diapers are 10.00 a pack and you will go through them quick. A diaper bag is 20.00. Bottles (If you dont breastfeed) are 4.00 each (you will need at least 6) plus liners are 7.99 each. Pacifiers are 2.99 a pack. Wipes are 7.99 for a big box. Mobiles are about 15.99 to 39.99. Toys range anywhere from 4.99 to ?? A bathtub wll cost you 10.00-20.00 Creams, lotions, medicines run a few dollars each. A good thermometer is at least 34.99

A baby carrier can cost up to 99.00
A stroller can cost anywhere from 50.00 to 250.00 (All in one that includes a car seat is your best bet)

Well if this is your first child then its going to be expensive but you don't have to get all of it at one time you have 9 months. Plus you would be getting a baby shower and you list things on the invitations what you need or do a baby money tree at the baby shower and tell them whats it going for like baby nursery, clothes, essentrals, car seat or even a crib.It will seem alot but having those precious babies are worth it

luckily for me I got almost everything I needed at my baby showers (I had 2, one for family one with all my girlfriends) with all the stuff I got form the showers I still needed about $500 worth of stuff!
I would estimate that all the baby stuff furniture/clothes/gear/bathing/safety/diapering would all come out to about $2000 and thats just if you work on a budget! cribs, strollers, carseats and all that stuff are expensive!!

try getting hand me downs and try to get as much as possible at a baby shower!! you can register for gifts at target & babies'r'us

I did not spend that much on my baby. I got lots of hand-me-downs, furniture, clothes, toys. Once the initial cost is spent, it only costs me $50 month to get everything he needs. Take a look at ebay. you can buy in bulk there.

A lot of money. You can call a doctor, and they will tell you as well. About 1,300 dollars. Think of diapers! They are quite expensive.

your best bet is to find someone who already has baby furniture. then you can just borrow. don't forget, you also have baby showers... so go register for the things you need!
