Koen sweetie, it's fresh and unique!
At worst they would say Kone; easy to correct. I can't think of a nasty/mean word to connect it to either, which is good if you're a kid.
It's a nice strong name.

I think that Koen is nice because it looks more like a first name than some of the other options.
I agree that Cowen is out of the question due to the "cow" reference; however, I don't see the big deal with "hen".
I also like the two middle names switched...

Cowen is bad b/c I think the pronounciation would get messed is and sound like an animal..
YOu could be real creative and try Kohan, but I really like the originality of the spelling you have in Koen
