It sounds like a Braxton-Hicks contraction...which is right on schedule..they usually start around 30 weeks ....its supposed to be a muscle 'prep' for labor....it actually feels nothing like labor! And hs NOTHING to do with the aforementioned great sex and orgasm...so get it now (while the gettings good)
Sometimes, if you are in the minority of women plagued by LOTS of BHC....be still...if you are walking...sit down, relax....lay down and they will go away.

I agree with everyone else... just something to add... the muscle contractions your body has during an orgasm are similar to labor contractions, that's why some people say that sex in the later weeks of pregnancy can make you go into labor because the contractions you felt can start and then go regular turning into real labor. I don't know if there is any truth to this or if it is just an "old wives tale" but you might ask your doc, otherwise no harm done.

Well I don't know exactly but I do know this... after an orgasm the uterus does contract. Also, at 29 weeks you could be having Braxton Hicks contractions. It is a tightening feeling. These contraction like feelings are harmless unless you can time them. If you can time them, and they become regular I would go to your doctor. Otherwise, it is your uterus practicing for birth.

Having an orgasm during the last trimester can cause some small contractions..aka Braxton Hicks. They are completely normal. Also when you are close to your due date having a O can actually put you into labor, along with nipple stimulation as well. I hope this helps.. good luck with everything and Congrats on the little one!!

Basically sounds like Braxton Hicks contractions, nothing to fear it is normal, your body is just getting ready for delivery, the fact that it happened right after sex has to do with your uterus contracting from the orgasm. We get calls on this all the time, but for your peace of mind let your doctor know.

I can only reiterate what the first couple of people have said. During orgasm your uterus contracts, pregnant, or not. However during the end of pregnancy your uterus is so enlarged you feel it more. I know that some Dr's will tell a pregnant woman to orgasm to get labour started. So what you're feeling is quite normal, and healty. Congratulations on your new baby. ~~~

Totally normal. The contractions are actually good for baby, too. My doc says its like the baby is getting a little massage. And the endorphins your body releases with an orgasm is also good for the baby.

It's normal. After an orgasm pregnant or not your uterus contracts. Thats why you feel that after pulse. It eventually stops. It's nothing to worry about. But you can still ask your doc.

Yes, and it's perfectly normal. Both your orgasm and the male sperm containing oxytocin will cause you to have contractions. They're perfectly harmless, and in fact are great excercise for the uterus, getting it in shape for childbirth.
