l have 2 motorola modem and l want know if is ilegal if l connect both modems a the same time because l have 2 computers a home, my internet provider is optimun online

It won't work...what you need is to use just 1 modem and then use a router to assign an ip address to each computer

you can pick up a router at any local bestbuy or circuit city or similar electronics store for about $40 and you'll need either some eathernet cables to run from the router to each computer or wireless capability on the computer

You have two modems, but you only have one phone line to make a connection. Attempting to connect to a phone line that's already in use will cause your original connection to disconnect.

It should be legal. as long as your phone system can handle two outgoing calls at once.
