I wish the infection rate in KZN was only 30% as awful as that may sound sadly the figure is much higher closer to 52% .

Given that there are 2,000 HIV infected people per 100,000 of the population of Cape Town and that the total population is 2.8 million the number of HIV infected would be around 56,000.

and population?

I have heard of about 8% in the cape area....awful figures but small compared to about 30% in KZN
