Someone asked if anyones ever had the chicken pox, measles, or mumps and I asnwered saying I've never had any of those and someone gave me a thumbs down. Whats that about? Waste of 5 pts but I think its worth it.

people have mysterious minds, i guess they thought you should of had them or they were just plain being mean.
people do that, see watch my answer they will probably do it to my answer cuz they are being mean and there is nothing wrong with the answer.
p.s they probably want those 10 points desperately

I think you got the 'thumbs down' because the question asked if anyone ever HAD any of those diseases, and you said that you hand't had any of them. I think that is what is 'wrong with' most statistical analysis ... that people who don't give the 'right answer' for whatever reason (in this case, yes, I did have this disease) should not be counted as 'voting properly ... but in truth, I think your answer 'No to all of the diseases you've listed' is as important as any 'yes, I've had ...' answer could be. Chalk it up to 'experience' that some people don't 'truly understand' what questions are being asked, and that may cause them to 'throw out' important information because it 'doesn't fit.'

Some people just give thumbs down for no reason at all...it could have very well have nothing to do with your answer....it could just be their mood....it might not sound fair...but hey...this is polls and surveys....nothing is fair here....or maybe I should say...it's all fair game....don't take it personally!
