My ex-wife keeps calling and is constantly harassing me. I cannot get her to stop. She shows up at places I am at and starts fights. She believes we are going to get back together! That will never happen. I do not know where she lives or works! Can I file a restraining order without knowing her whereabouts or is there some other better solution. What's my best course of action?

You have to have her correct address to file the restraining order!! She has to be served.

Call the cops next times she shows up and ask that they help.

call the cops everytime you see her till you can find it!

You need to get a RESTRAINING ORDER against her if that is possible, and I think that it SHOULD BE POSSIBLE even though you are male and you don't know where she lives. The 'restraining order' won't WORK though if you don't call the police IMMEDIATELY every time you see or hear from her as you go about your 'daily life' ... and because you are a male and females are seen as the 'usual victims' of this type of harassment, you may have to really 'push' the police to enforce it ... but if something bad DOES happen, that restraining order and your 'complaints' to the police EVERY TIME SHE HARASSES YOU may be your ONLY HOPE if it goes to court. GOOD LUCK.

how long have you been apart? I presume you have already tried to talk rationally to her in the past and got nowhere. There is nothing worse than a woman scorned. She will try anything Yes ,you can get a restraining order because the police and courts can track her whereabouts....... but why does she think you can get back together. Have you given her an openiing without realising it or is she just so desperate at this moment.. Make your intentions very clear and she will eventually leave you alone.... if that is what you want

You are in trouble. Domestic violence against men is a serious problem. This could turn into something serious. I once saw a man on foot running for his life with some lady trying to run him over with her car. I also found a bleeding unconscious man who was stabbed laying on a snowbank who had been stabbed by his girlfriend. I am not sure if he survived. If she does start a fight you will be the one arrested. One time I saw a restaurant manager get assaulted by his angry ex with ten witnesses who also saw her assaulting him and then he was arrested when she said she was the one hit which all the witnesses refuted. This began to happen to him regularly.
Anyways I feel for you and you will get no help from the legal system. If you do not have children together you need to leave the country. Most other countries do not treat men as second class citizens. Remember a rich white woman is at the top of our class system in court.

Whew, sorry for your luck. Sounds as if she is determined to get you back. Kinda stalking you. You can file a restraining order on her even if you don't know her address or work number. Just call the police dept, in your town and ask how to go about it. I don't know how she knows how to find you, but if your going to the same places, try some new places, she wouldn't think of you being, just for a while to distance yourself from her. Other alternative is move if she knows where you live, or stay with friends that she doesn't know, so she can't find you.

Yes you definitley need to get a restraining order and get one soon... This will at least let her know that you are tired of this kind of treatment and that she needs to back off... Call an attorney or go to your local police station and ask them what can be done and how... Why do you not know where she is living??? This is scary. Maybe the police can locate her and where she lives for you.... I wish you the best. Good luck:) I hope things get better for you soon.

Yes, you can file a restraining order. It is totally free, just go down to the police station. They will ask you why, and if she's so much as thrown a punch at you, or damaged your car or something, you can file. If she just keeps 'showing up' or 'calling', you might have to file a lesser order, i believe it's a stalking order or harrassment order...your local police station will know. she will be notified of if though, so plan on her being even more upset. best of luck

Either file for a restaining order or press stalking charges against her. The latter of the two is better for stopping this. You can also file a complaint with the phone company to stop the harassing calls. Good luck

Just go down to the courthouse and find out if you can file for a restraining order. That would be the best route.

Yikes I know how you feel. My ex was a dork he did the same shi*! You will need to find out where she lives to file, or at least know where she works to serve her papers or else you will never get the restraining order. My ex actually ran away and I could not find him to serve him so I had to drop it. So you do have to have some one serve him and in order to do that you need to find out where you can have her served.
Good Luck!
