my SAT scores are not so good..a little below 500 for critical reading, a little higher than 700 for math, and about 600 for writing....but....my high school GPA is really high...and i did really well on my SAT IIs....and i would say that my personal essays (3 of them) are pretty good....
Can anyone help me determine the chance of me getting in UCLA??

my gpa un weighted is 95
my school does't do the 4.0 scale

first of all...."im dunt live..." is a typo...

second of all...i have only been in US for 4 years....so i guess this explains why my SAT isn't good...however i have 800 on all my SAT IIs...including, math 2, chem, and physics...

I thank you for all your opinions...

UCLA is a pretty good school. Do you feel that someone who writes "Im dunt live" or "I am desperated" is likely to be admitted?

Seriously, what school do you think is a match for your talent? Is it a good plan to go to a school where you will be continuously stressed out because you arent prepared to do the work.

Check out some schools where the SAT average matches your achievements.

Why do you want to go so badly?

I hope you play at a super high level in a sport because the way you wrote the question, you don't sound very impressive. Yes, that Verbal score doesn't sound too good. Out of state students have it harder than in-state students do to get in, and UCLA will reject kids with a 4.0 in-state and good SAT scores.

You didn't write what GPA you have (weighted and unweighted), but I'd be worried even if you were an in-state student.

Obviously academics is important. But, don't overlook the fact that all schools are looking for well-rounded students who will make an impact on the campus culture. Start viewing yourself from a "wholistic" stance. Are you the type of PERSON that UCLA wants. What do YOU have to offer THEM? If you are not that person, it is impossible to portray yourself as being that person. (Ask not what UCLA can do for you...ask what you can do for UCLA...capiche?)
-------------------------------------
This is what UCLA looks for
-------------------------------------
1. Personal qualities of the applicant.
2. Likely contributions to the intellectual and cultural vitality of the campus.
3. Performance on standardized tests.
4. Achievement in academic enrichment programs.
5. Other evidence of achievement. (arts, athletics, leadership, etc)
6. Opportunities. (have you taken advantage of opportunities?)
7. Challenges. (hardships or unusual circumstances)
--------------------------------------------
From their site: "UCLA is among the most selective universities in the country and is becoming more competitive for freshman applicants each year. This past year UCLA received more than 47,000 applications...Generally the campus is able to admit about one in four freshman applicants for the fall term."
