should I install Adobe reader update? This option popped up on screen tonight and I didnt know whether to install or not and changed my mind at the last minute (I think it got to about 80% of the download before I cancelled) . Im so worried about getting a virus or spyware. Also, at the same time I had a drive cleaner pop up window telling me to click on the link - which of course Norton put a stop to and told me this was a virus. Was the Adobe reader connected to the drive cleaner or was this a coincidence they both appeared at the same time? should i install future adobe updates?

adobe is annoying - it does its twitchy little housekeeping tasks at all the wrong moments.

The update is fine, but don't bother to download the extras unless you know you want them.

Adobe Reader 8, which I installed recently, hasn't asked to update itself yet. Maybe it's a bit more chilled than 7. Try that.

There's no problem with the update.

However, you may want to visit the Adobe website and download version 8 to replace your version 7. Verison 8 has recently been released.
