Elgin Baylor was a basketball player who played for the Minneapolis Lakers (1958-60) and the Los Angeles Lakers (1960-72). He received many awards and he also coached the New Orleans Jazz from 1974 to 1979.
Hope that helps

Elgin Baylor is one of the greatest fowards ever to play. 6' 6 230, was discriminated against in Washington D.C. as a high schooler, was pro-ready then. Could not get a college scholarship East of the Mississippi because he was black in mid-50s. Took Seattle to the Final Four. Was Rookie of the Year in 1959 at age 24. Set NBA scoring record that year, probably should have been MVP as well for carrying his average team to Finals. Bill Russell got that award that year.
The first high flyer , Baylor also had wide all-around game and range, put up huge stats. 1961: 34.8 ppg, 17 rpg, 6 apg, 45 minutes per game. Steals, blocks not recorded, he had plenty. Annually ranked in scoring, rebounds and assists. Was in military in 1962, averaged 38.3 points over 48 games for Lakers.
A poorly-done knee surgery took the steam out of his career in the early 60s. In prime, still probably the best forward ever.

ELGIN BAYLOR, ONE OF THE GREATEST PLAYERS EVER. HE PLAYED FOR THE LAKERS. HE NOW IS AN EXECUTIVE WITH THE CLIPPERS. HIS POWER RATING NUMBERS ARE SURPASSED ONLY BY PETIT AND WILT.
P.S. I STILL DEBATE WITH PEOPLE TO THIS DAY ON WHETHER OR NOT HE IS A SMALL FORWARD OR POWER FORWARD. HE AVERAGED 13.5 REBOUNDS A GAME, THAT IS POWER FORWARD NUMBERS. IF BARKLEY IS POWER FORWARD THEN SO IS BAYLOR.
