Because people set their sights on saving the world, and the world is too big to save. In reality, each person needs to start with their own corner of the world.
On the other hand, poverty needs to exist to show the struggling man or woman where he or she doesn't want to be.

Because of terrible insane politicians, sick of greed who rule poor countries and do not help them, just keep robbing, the public funds.
In my country México, the president is illegal, becouse he lost the elections. He used the army to repress the protests.
And he has deals with USA, to buy them crops, although here we grow them. He will also sell our oil, natural gas and water to private companies.
Thats why poverty in the world.
