I really like all the latest tops out and about here in Scotland with the rolling stones/blondie/sex pistols/beatles/elvis etc on the front. EVERYONE i know seems to be wearing them.. except i dont really listen to the music. I do have a few songs of some of these artists/bands but wouldnt call myself a FAN. is it still okay for me to wear these tops. My dad says im a fake !!

Just to add =].. i do actualyl really like the t-shirts and actually spotted them before any of my friends started to wear them but always had this question in my mind so im not just wantin to wear them because its the trend!

theres always gonna be things that everybody wears. The phase that has passed, AE, Abercrombie, Birkenstocks, etc. You decide how you want to dress, maybe wear a shirt of your favorite band. Be an individual.

Even if you listen to one song half heartedly from a band, or even just find their artwork fantastic, then go right ahead and wear their stuff! I remember the days when I thought Nirvana was the bomb, but I never wore their stuff. I did however wear Pearljam's stuff! Despite the fact I really don't listen to anything other than "Jeremy" by Pearljam. Besides, I really don't know anyone who doesn't wear something by some group or artist who doesn't listen or really like the artist(s) stuff.

No you are not fake, even if you aren't a fan you can still wear the shirts, that's why they are put out in the market for. So, people can comsume and buy, I bet the other people at school really don't know who these artists are. You are just doing this for style.

It OKAY! Go ahead and wear them! If you've listened to the music or not, it will always be cool to wear the shirts. You are not fake! But it's another thing if you wear a shirt from a movie and you haven't seen the movie...

why on earth would you want to wear music you dont like on your shirt just to fit in with a trend?? what's the point? not only is it just plain tacky, but it cheapens the bands for the real fans that are wearing the shirts for the right reasons

Do you like them because they have a cool design, or do you like them because everyone is wearing them?
It makes a diff because if you like them because of the way they look you would be being true to your tastes and you totally should rock it out.
If you like it because everyone is wearing them and you want to be part of the crowd, then youre a POSER.

i wouldnt wear them personally, however i do like the shrits too. i guess you could be considered fake, but at least you know who they are and you have heard some of there music
