Is it feasible for a small family (man, woman, 2 cats) to live in a large studio?

I would think so...you could get creative with the use of screens to partition off different areas. Check out some home decorating books from your library and look at ways to place them to utilize your space the best way.

I would have to agree with the other answer, however, that you would not have to value your space all that much. You would have to like each other a LOT.
