A cup of white vinegar added to a wash load. Do this 2-3 times a week until gone- then afterwards 1 time a week to prevent it from happening again.

Pour CLR over any visible rust or lime buildup.
BE SURE TO WEAR GLOVES!
You can saturate a paper towel and leave it on rusted areas. Leave it for several hours.
Remove the towels & run the dishwasher a full cycle (empty) with a cup of CLR.
Then run the dishwasher again a full cycle to rinse all the CLR out.
Running CLR periodicaly in the dishwasher will keep the pouts clear and your dishes will get cleaner.
DISHWASHER MAGIC is specialy formulated for removing rust from dishwashers. I have used IRON OUT in the wash and it works great at removing rust from the machine and laundry.

Go to Lowes and get a gallon of Muriatic Acid. About $3.50 Then put about two cups of water into a plastic pail. You might need it stronger for stubborn deposits. Then add about the equal of muriatic acid to the water in the pail.
Put on gloves and use a plastic bristle paint brush to clean it. Do it in a well vented area even if you have to open up the patio door and use a fan . That will get out the rust and calcium and other hard water deposits.

I suggest vinegar and CLR for the lime build up. Try putting some coke on the rust, it is suppose to work.

Vinegar will clean the lime deposits , however it will do nothing for the rust . The best product I have found for this C.L.R. , found in most stores .

Vinegar will remove the lime. For the rust, you need something stronger than common household ingredients.
