I know some managers aren't exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer but most players are considerably thicker. Why don't players have intitials on their tracksuits?

football managers, coaches, physios, they all have initials on their shirt/tracksuit because the endorsement and sponsor must write their names according to the size of the staff...

arsene wegner and gary lewin doesn't wear same size, like fergie and carlos doesn't wear same size. LOL..

plus, except usual drill, normal training sessions for players includes their numbers, which is primary key for their names...

you can see Henry and CAmpbell with their own numbers on normal training. full scale training, players also have to wear their initials (numbers).

honestly, that really depends on the sponsorship, if they signed on many levels for their trainings/games/shoes/shirts/causal and etc. the players will have to wear it at all professional time.

for example, as ronaldinho signed with nike, you can see him wearing causal wear even he's outside having party with nike shirts, just like tiger woods. coz they are signed to do so.

country/club professional contract are bound to be followed by all players.. and hope this answers your question...

(your question made me think if all the players are sharing the random clothes, how can maradona, zola and roberto carlos fit the clothes of jan koller, jaap stam and peter crouch? they would be wearing long tracksuit for koller's and crouch's shorts. LOL)

all the tracksuits are made individual so all tracksuits have initials not to get them mixed up imagine danny divito trying to wear arnold schwarzeneger getting thiers mixed that would be fun or disaster

It's because some clubs have a very high turnover of managers and they need reminded who is in charge that week!
