neither, I believe the best way is in person, with honesty, and hope to have a mutal and peaceful break up,
sorry it isnt easy anyway.

As scarey as it maybe, doing it face to face is the best, but if you don't have the guts for that, then I would do it over the phone. So at least they have your voice and not just some words on a page. After you get done on the phone, then send an email if you are better with words on paper then speaking them. Good luck!!!

I really think in person is the best way, but it would really depend on how you think they will take it. If you are unsure of how it will be taken, then do it over the phone. Don't use the e-mail, it does not offer a direct response back if they need to ask why?

I did it over the phone. They didn't have email back then. I probably should have done it in person, but I was only 22 and I didn't know any better.

niether in person is a lot better. it might and probably will be a lot harder and a lot more uncomfortable but it is still the best way. how would you feel if somebody broke up wih you on the phone or through an e-mail?? well they probably feel the same way

By not doing it. That's a terrible way to break up with someone. break up with them face to face. Sit down with them face to face and go from there. Only a coward would break up with someone over the phone, e-mail or text message.

Oh dear this is never a good way to break up with someone huney. DONT DO IT!!! It will make it worse for you an for them.
Just be honest an tell them you are not insterested anylonger an you hope they appreciate you being honest. GOOD LUCK

In person. It shows you have respect, for yourself and others. Only by phone if you absolutly can not go to them.(if they live too far away). And i would explain that you wanted to see them in person but just couldn't do it.
Email or sms is just so Britney spears....so 2006.

In person, because if you do it any other way the relationship will end badly and there will most definitely be conflicts between you and this person later on.
