I bought a webcam the other day (mind you this isnt my first webcam n never had problems in the past) and i installed it and everything was done right. Now when i sign into yahoo messenger and try to start my webcam it tells me "the webcam is not connected" i dont get it..can someone help me please????

sometimes a big problem with cams is if you have had a device plugged into the usb slot you plugged your cam into without uninstalling old drivers or devices. the usb port still sees it as being the old device. just go thru your remove programs and see if the old device drivers are there uninstall those and the webcam drivers and reinstall them. and also run a reg edit program to remove the old registry entrys linked to the old device. if that still dosnt work then either there is something wrong with the port or you got a bad install of the web cam.
