Why can they get banned?

Because the food's cheap and there's practically a McDonalds on every street block. And as for why they don't get banned, McDonalds makes so much money, they can buy the best lawyers to keep from getting banned. For more information, watch the documentary "Supersize Me."

Honestly, McDonalds is no worse than KFC or Taco Bell. I don't understand why everyone is so concerned with McDonalds when they put their nutrition information on the sacks your food comes in. Helllooo - Taco Bell has a huge campaign for this "Fourth Meal" bit - why isn't everyone throwing a fit about that?

I am 5'7, 125 pounds and I have McDonalds once or twice a week. I'm no Nicole Richie, but I'm hardly overweight.

McDonalds isn't bad for you unless you eat a big mac and supersize your fries and Coca Cola.

Back off of Ronald McDonald. At least they are raising money and helping children around the world.

Americans are absolute suckers for advertising! It's like they invented it and it's another of their religions. They actually believe it! McDonalds says "Delicious!" and Americans believe it! I made a complaint about McDonalds advertising to a consumer affairs and they said that it takes 2 days (2 days) to make sure that a photo of a Mcdonalds burger is perfect! I saw this pic on the McDonalds board of a burger and when I got the one I ordered it was like a quarter of the size, all squashed, looking totally like the USA attack on Hiroshima, not like the McDonalds pic. I got an apology from McDonalds, but they didn't change a thing. They are the total USA suck!

Millions of earthlings consume Mc D's because it's cheap and fast, and...

oh, and in this part of the world, we regulate more than we outright ban. It's a freedom thing.

Hey, you can't force people to be healthy. You can smoke, right? You can lay on the couch all day and eat potato chips too. If people want to change things, and they apparently don't, they'd stop buying that stuff. Healthy fast food restaurants would open up. Actually, you can get a salad at McD's and I hear they're changing their frying oil too. Point is, it's a free country - if you don't want to eat it - don't!!

Because it is fast and cheap. Plus Americans have become immune to what good food tastes like and have become cravers of crappy carb foods. Also there is a whole generation of people growing up on fast food who don't even know how to cook. What I find funny is that you can fix a meal in the time it takes you to drive to McDs, wait in the line and finally get your order right.

I may not be American so I'm just guessing here. I think it's because some Americans lead hectic lives, going there, going here. Thus, they eat food served to them in a jiffy: fast food. And it's tasty and cheap (in terms of the cost), too.

I think it's the convenience factor. Some people don't have the time to cook (or they are lazy) and there is a McDonalds around every corner. Plus kids are obsessed with the place. Ugh!

it taste good and it is convenient. The chain should be blamed for the way people eat. The people should be blamed for their own actions. people have choices everyday they choose or don;t choose to eat fast food. they could have made the choice to make a healthy lunch or dinner and bring it to work or school..

People are either so lazy and cannot simply go to the grocery market to buy food to cook at home or they have no disregard nor care about their health.
