All religious groups have the goal of changing society and imposing their beliefs on everyone else.

From Hare Krishnas too Scientoligists..

And the Christians have been doing it for 2000 years.

Now it's the time for Muslims to have a go....Why should they give up their religious aspirations just because they live in the west......The Christians didn't give up theirs when they went to colonise Asia or Africa and they didn't integrate either..

good question, when the christians went worldwide they enforced their beliefs through agression and dominance, young moslems will never have any power in christian countries. they should not be forced to give up their beliefs, but they will never be accomadated in their entirity in the west.

Contrary to what fools like Mickey say Sharia law is not in as such a definite article. Many Muslim countries operate a interpretation of Sharia, take for Example Indonesia which is the largest Muslim country, as we know Alcohol is haram but it is not only on sale but produced in that country for the many Christians , Buddhist and Hindus. Indonesia has also had a woman president too and hijab is not strongly enforced. Malaysia has gambling casinos , but not for Muslims Take that as a comparison to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that has a totally different interpretation. People in the UK have no rights as individuals to make demands it is a democratic country and in any case all laws have to comply with European laws and the European court of Human Rights. There is a firm procedure for changing laws in the UK . I see marriages have been mentioned and even here there is confusion. I am married [Nikah] I was married [Nikah] in England but my marriage is not accepted as a a marriage and my wife is by English law only my common law wife. I can if I wish have a Civil Ceremony to "legalize" our wedding but even by English law I am not doing anything wrong. If I want to take a 2nd wife I will do so , fully acceptable by Sharia and not illegal in the UK because by English law neither of them would be legal wives anyway. The only way it could affect me would be if I ever wanted to claim benefit for them as dependants , I assure you that is not even a possibility, my mother never claimed child benefit for myself or any of my sisters and it is something none of us would ever do either. BTW do not think I am in anyway an immigrant, I am British as is my mum and her family for generations. We use the rules as laid out in the Qur'an, Muslims should ideally be able to control themselves personally within these guidelines and if their parents did their jobs properly they would be able to. Maybe relevant , Today for instance I am fasting, it is Sunnah ,, does that affect you ? does it offend you. Just allow me to live as a Muslim ,, that is all I demand. It is my right. And I do not need extremist nutters like Choudry to tell me how to be a Muslim they are more interested it seems in elevating their own importance than anything else.

Because they live in Britain, and they will live by our rules. I am not going to comment on your subtext, because trying to compare the modern world with the ancient world, which was a largely undiscovered world, certainly not organised into nation states, is completely irrelevant to today. Christianity, is over six hundred years older than Islam, and about five million years ago we were all in Africa. How far back do you want to go?

i can tell u right now.
i will not b part of a religious culture that treats women like second class citizens, i will not wear a hideous/dangerous & oppressive burka.
i will not b told who i can & cannot talk 2.
no i don't want the UK 2 even consider entertaining sharia law.

we invaded & released oppressed women in afghanistan.
& 2 go backward now would b a huge mistake.
destroying ancient Buddas which stood harming no1, the Taliban were not a exactly free-thinking, let alone prepared 2 accept any law above their own.
so they were never going 2 b respected or admired, were they?

Although it has been a slow process, Christianity has moved with the times, Islam is still medieval and blinkered. Christianity teaches love and tolerance, The Koran teaches jihad and intolerance. The two religions are totally incompatible!

First, it's only a minority of Muslims - less than a fifth. Second, what's notable about it is that older Muslims are less keen on Sharia law - suggesting that it's social or cultural trend, rather than driven by religious imperative - and the implications that it has for Government policy, which arguably is alienating people rather than creating community cohesion.

There are none so blind as those who will not look. If you are one of those who will look, take a look around. You are surrounded -- surrounded by millions who will not look.
Know when to feel ashamed of feeling ashamed.

"Whoever rebels against your word and does not obey your words, whatever you may command them, will be put to death". (Joshua 1: 18 )

P.S.
I read a book that is highly recommended to all. The book is called The Bible, The Quran and Science by Dr. Maurice Bucaille, a french surgeon. The book was published by American Trust Publications in 1979. Dr. Bucaille as an educated person with a scientific mind, it is very hard to believe in a holy book with the word of God being the ultimate source of knowledge if the holy book contradicts modern science. With that in mind, he concludes that the Holy Quran is the word of God untampered by humans and not contradicting science. In the case of the old testament or new testament, the human modification has made it scientifically unacceptable. To prove his point, he is giving the following examples:.........
