Xbox live is worth it if you spend atleast 1h on your Xbox a day. It is even more worth it when you like to challenge your friends in multiplayer modes. You also will need highspeed internet. It is great for the better games because many people play them and it is really fun when you have a lot of people playing.

Hell Yeah,
I know that ps3's playstation network is free to use and all, but it's still difficult to navigate, set up games, find your friends, make new friends that you want to play with again, and you need to have a bluetooth headset for voice chat.
Microsoft charges $50 a year and it's totally worth it. You can keep the same account you had from the original xbox, so you can keep all of your friends organized, it lets you view a list of players that you played with recently so you can find them easily. It lets you send invitations to your friends even if they're playing a different game. Plus, I don't know if you've seen any video of the vista dem from last years e3 but this feature even extends to new vista based pcs. so lets say you're playing ms flight simulator x or any other windows based game, or working on your pc. If you're signed into live, then your friends can send you inivitations and see what you're doing. Lastly, xbox doesn't require you to have a special headset, any old headset from a cell phone is compatible, just plug it into the jack on the controller.

Only if you like to play online multiplayer games, other than that does not make any real difference.
If you are a casual gamer just ask yourself if you want to get out of the routine and go online against real ppl instead if the computer, every now and then and if that will worth 50 bucks for you.

Definetely, it is incredible. You can chat with people online, and you will have compitition. You will also gain access to the Xbox Live Marketplace. Don't forget to buy the Network Adapter ($100) It's so fun.

Definitely dude. I have it, and I love it. The biggest thing I love is having free demos so I can try a game before I buy it, and I love playing multiplayer.
