Why is that the people that lie, cheat, and screw people over are the ones that seem to get ahead?

That is not true. My husband to be is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. The ones who lie,cheat and screw people over end up being got by Karma, and end up lonely and miserable even if they seemed to get ahead in the first instance. I know many of these sad people and believe me they are not winners.
PS maybe they were talking about nice guys let you finish first? ;-)

People who lie, cheat, and screw people over eventually get lied to, cheated on and screwed over it's the balance of the world! It's not fair but we all have to thru it at some point in our lives!

Because they lie cheat and screw people over usually after a while though people will see who they really are.

The key word here is "seem". Those people seem to get ahead because they had to push someone down to get there. Otherwise, where would they be? Right where you are. They are only cheating themselves. They don't grow. They don't learn. They don't actually succeed, because they cheated. Real success comes from the self, maintaining honor, dignity, integrity, and honesty. They don't know the meaning of success, and so they are manufacturing some process to obtain it cheaply. Success is not easily obtained if you do it properly. You watch those people closely, and you will see that their short-term methods for success are also a recipe for short-term success.
