Everyone keeps going on and on about how Steve Nash will get his third straight MVP title and how the Suns are 20-1 aganist the East and also the best record in the NBA. But have you noticed that the Mavericks also have single digit losses? They are only half a game behind Phoenix, but the last thing I heard about anyone in the franchise was Mark Cuban either considering buying a Pittsburgh team or advertising the BlackJack phone. What do you think?

They are without a doubt, the second best team thus far. The reason the Suns have gotten more press is because their losses (not counting the 1-4 start) are much more impressive. These games came down to overtimes, last second shots, or extremely closely matched battles. The same cannot be said for the Mavs.
The good news for the Mavs is that the Suns can't seem to beat them. The Mavs create all sorts of matchup problems for the Suns. I'll still put money on the Suns to win it all, but I am very impressed with Dallas.

well I think the thing is the Mavs are at the point where they are expected to win and win big. They are at that point where they need to win a championship now or they will be seen as underachievers. I think the reason as to why everyone talks so much about the sus is due to the fact that the suns are now entering that elite team status while the Mavs have been at that level for a while.

We all know the Mavs are good--but now they're expected to be good, like Miami or Phoenix. Nobody expects them to stink. The problem would come if they don't live up to expectations.

the suns are the supperior team even though dallas has 9 losses when they have lossed they were decimated pheonix has been competitave in every game they have played.
i say this and i live in dallas. so im not being bias.

they are every year! every year its about the spurs, lakers, heat, pistons, all of them the mavs are always the under dogs!
