Where I live, there is a great deal of violence between blacks and latinos. Being that they are both minorities, why do they not share a common brotherhood?

I don't see a common brotherhood. The Irish and the Polish, the Italians and the Chinese were all minorities at one time in this country yet the only thing in common they shared was a work ethic. Blacks don't share a work ethic like other minorities. They're perpetually looking for a handout. Look at the Katrina evacuees, they're still living in FEMA trailers and refuse to even work for 20 bucks an hour to even CLEAN THEIR OWN yards!
The Latinos have two big advantages. First, they are hard workers and will eventually work their way into the mainstream of America, just like other minorities in the past. The second advantage they have is a lack of white guilt. They'll take care of black crime in their neighborhoods without fear of being called "raysiss".

why does everyone always associate latinos with blacks. if anything MOST non mixed race latinos look closer to whites.
if you want any kind of common brotherhood you need to focus more on peace between whites and blacks.

yea dats true. us latinos need to unite with our black neighbors because we both go through the same stuff and we are both minorities

Yeah, fighting amongst themselves is one good way to make sure neither of them go anywhere. I used to live in chicago, it does seem like a really divided place. I live in the SF bay area, and don't really see that here. Also, I'm black and my wife is latina.

Stupid is it? If a Hispanic or black kills the other, the white man just laughs because that's one less he has to worry about
