Well, I never had an assigned parking space, but I always had a favorite space. I usually got upset, but most of the time I would try to get their earlier so I could get that space.

At home, don't have to worry about that (after all, I live rurally ... it is my home/driveway, and I park there). At where I go ... if someone is in the parking places for the Disabled (and does not have a tag), then I take down the license plate number and report them ....

Just find another parking space...

except once, I actually saw the parking stealer afterward in the store and I "accidentally" bumped into her with my trolley a few times.. But I had severe PMS that day!

I heard someone say once that if you keep nails in your trunk for emergency's like that you can place one propped up to the tire in the direction they will leave the space the problem will disappear. I work from my home and have my own drive way so I don;t have that problem.

Since I normally travel with my young nephew in tow, my car is normally littered with his trash.
So, after I have parked, I return to the scene with his melted milkshake, mixed with whatever he had been snacking on. I dump it beside their driver's side door. It normally looks like puke, and is almost impossible to dodge stepping in, while entering the car. Then, I write down the car's license and go into the shopping area, etc... go to the service desk--have the license announced and car description saying they left their lights on, the alarm is going off, etc... They are further inconvenienced by going and checking on a phony light/alarm, etc...
