A person who says he is "burned out" is saying that he has "had it" - in other words, he cannot function; he has no more energy.
The three symptoms of burn-out are:
You are just as tired when you wake up as you were when you went to bed.
At work or class, you avoid involvement with others.
You doubt your ability to make a difference at work or at home.
This word is spelled usually spelled "doofus" but can also be spelled "dufus." It is slang for an inept or stupid person.
"Dork" is a term of abuse favored by American youngsters, designating the target as quirky, awkward, eccentric, socially inept or simply of lower status.

burned-out is another way to say that you are worn out or overwhelmed and need to take time off from a task. It comes from talking about candles, which burn for a while but eventually run out of wick and are unable to perform the task anymore.
dufvis... do you mean doofus? (like a dumb person). Otherwise, I'm not sure what word you mean.
dork is just a way to call someone a nerd or a loser. You can look up the history of it at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dork

Imagine a matchstick. Before use it is full of life and is useful. Once lit and extinguished it becomes useless, 'Burned out'.
doofus
Someone who hasn't got a clue!
They live in blissful ignorance of the world, fashion, personal hygiene and social skills.
Invariably laughs like a baboon being repeatedly punched.
From the German word 'doof' meaning 'thick' or 'stupid'
Dork is a term of abuse favored by American youngsters, designating the target as quirky, awkward, eccentric, socially inept or simply of lower status. Similar epithets include nerd and geek. Originally a vulgar term for "penis," the word is often used without any awareness of this sense, as evidenced by its use in the syndicated family cartoon strip Big Nate (in the form "dorkus") for January 13, 2007.
The term implies stupidity perhaps less often than it formerly did, and paradoxically can imply an unadmirable (bookish, academic) intelligence, much as "nerd" and "geek" do.
Also, one of the more common meaning of the word dork, used by many teenagers mean weird, awkward, and idiot
