Since everyone doesn't have the same opinions on what nice vs. bad weather is, or what types of weather they like or dislike, I'm surveying to see what range of answers I get. Please explain why you like or don't like certain types. For example, if you say you like sunshine, tell me why. If you dislike sunshine, again, tell me why.

i am from minnesota, so we kind of have to adapt to the cold, i love the cold, i have loved it since i was a little kid mainly because i would wake up after a snow storm and hope i would not have school, i have always seen snow as some sort of winter wonderland, i used to play a lot in the snow when i was little. but now that my brother and sister r grown up they dont like to do those things with me, but i consider snow and cold to be good weather because it gives me all those memories

I'm originally from the northeast where the winters can be very harsh. I never really minded the cold too much, but dreaded driving in the midst of a snowstorm ... I jokingly say that the worst 4-letter word in my vocabulary is S N O W. I grew up on Long Island where it is fairly flat terrain but then spent 24 years in New England which is very hilly for the most part. Yes, very scenic for 7 months out of the year, but the other 5 months can be treacherous navigating up and down, curving around back roads. There is nothing worse than being in work, looking out your window and knowing it is going to be a horrific ride home, not only battling the slippery roads but also avoiding all the maniacs racing to get home.

We are now down South and after 4 years, still no snow to speak of (I think once we had about 1/2 an inch!).

I consider nice weather when there is a big storm and its raining alot. Bad weather for me is when there is a hurricane passing by and the weather making a turn to its worst making it a life and death situation. The types of weather i like is Humid and Hot air because to me, it feels comfortable and much better than really cold air.

Nice weather is weather that permits me to do whatever it is they I want to be doing. If I want to go hiking, the weather can be brisk, even drizzling and I'm still game if I've got the right gear with me, which I usually do! If I want to go to the beach, it can't be too cool, because then I can't go in the water without getting a chill when I get out!

Bad weather is weather that's so foul I have no choice but to abandon my plans.

I can cope with any weather, but NOT WIND!! I find wind to be noisy, uncomfortable, and dnagerous.

I like sunny days with enough heat that you have to sit on a blanket and read a book. lots of sunburn blocker. And something cool to drink.

Wet is fine if I have wellies and a raincoat. Don't mind rain at all. Like to garden after the rain, since there are lots of worms. I add worms to the compost pile for quicker composting!

Snow is ok now that the kids are teens and can sled without parental supervision.!

Since I chase storms, "nice" weather to me is well-defined storms with their structure clearly visible occuring in places where the land is flat and there is no residential build-up.

"Bad" weather is the drizzly stratiform precip crap that just ruins my hair, cold weather, snow, or clear sunny days with no chance of action later in the afternoon if I'm out chasing.

I just like the weather to be interesting, and to me interesting is storms. However, if I'm busy doing other things I prefer mostly sunny (just a few fair weather cumulus here or there).

Surface temp in the mid 80's. Light breeze. 50% relative humidity. Mostly sunny with a good lapse rate such that soft thermals are created- wafting right up the mountains where I launch my hang glider and fly in the smooth but strong 1000fpm lift about 100 miles.

I HATE grey and cloudy days. I like sunny skies with VERY STORMY conditions to go along with it. When it's like that, it creates an unstable atmosphere, forming strong thunderstorms with cumulonimbis (same case with Lake-Effect Snow).
