If it has only recently started doing this, the cause may be swelling of the wood. This is a result of too much humidity /moisture in the air, and you may have to adjust your furnace and/or air conditioner.
If it is a longer term concern then you should remove the drawer completely and examine it for abrasion/rub spots. These may be sanded to remove excess material.
Look for the part that controls fore-afte direction. this may be a plastic part fastened to the underside of the drawer, and slides on a T-shaped rail. These wear, and the plastic or metal part can break or bend, causing friction and jamming.
The side rails/channels/slots can be lubricated. Wax, whether from a candle or a block of sealing wax, is by far the best lubricant you will find in your home.
Stay away from all liquid lubricants and greases/ (vaseline). They will provide temporary relief, but cause the wood to swell, and some, such as WD40, have little lasting lubricating quality after the solvent evaporates.

For me when I had this problem taking a bar of soap and pulling the drawer completely out, rubbing it reaaly good along the side that was sticking worked well, and I also did the wodden part inside where it glides. Hope that helps..makes sure you do both wear the drawera glides and also the drawer itself really good..up and down about 6 times on each seems to do the trick. By the way the soap needs to be bar and not wet.

The best way is to remove the drawer and rub the runners of both the drawer and the chest with a candle, they wont stick again.

Rub candle wax along the side of the drawer unless you're the sort of house that keeps a good supply of vaseline

Clean the runners and/or edge of the drawer.
Put them little sticky stoppers to stop the drawer closing all the way.

Beeswax?
Also, they might have warped over time, especially if the wood was a little green when the chest was made. In that case, you should use a power sander to plane them down....
