Not bad at all!! I'm doing it :)

It could be much worse honey, trust me. What if you had a man that lied and cheated on you all year long, but then the one day he spent with you was on Valentine's Day? Would that make you feel better or worse?

Not bad at all! If you're not dependent on a significant other for happiness. C'mon girlie you'll be ok :) Think of Valentine's day like this. Everyone is doing the exact same thing. Why doesn't someone give you flowers or take you out on a "just because" day? Those are SO much better. Stay out of the "in" thing to do :) Life is so much more fun living on the outside!
Take care!!

How bad is it when you have had a boyfriend for 2 and a half years yet you are going to spend valentines day by yourself and probably wont get anything special from him either on valentines day.

Valentines day is a made for TV day. There are 364 other days like it. Don't feel bad if you have to spend it by yourself. You should get flowers and be taken out for dinner any day of the year.

Think of the millions of people out there being "Forced" to spend it with the one that they once loved but are still in their relationship.

Just another day. It's a Wednesday...what's on the tube?

Nothing to be ashamed of ... the thing to be ashamed of is if you let a commercial holiday make you feel bad about yourself. Why not take the day and spend it doing something great for yourself, like getting a facial, going out for drinks or dessert with your girlfriends or watching a great movie?

It's only bad if you tell yourself it's bad. Valentines day is a "Hallmark" holiday. It's a way for retailers to get some profit. It's not like Christmas or Thanksgiving. I personally don't care about it. I think it's more or less for kids and new couples.

Not too bad, maybe worse for the widows and widowers and people with spouses deployed in Iraq.

Here's what you do:
Rent some movies you always wanted to watch, but couldn't because other people don't like them (they don't even have to be romance movies). All us single gals will be right there with you.

You'll live. Think on the bright side, that money you would be spending to impress that "special someone" you can spend on yourself!!

It doesn't have to be all bad. If you don't have a special partner to share it with call up a friend or your mom or a favorite relative & tell them you love them. It'll make you feel good.
