Yes! These people want to see you dead (the regime in Iran). It's amazing how many stupid people live in America with their heads up their a**#s who cannot or will not come to the realizaion that there are people in this world that are not reasonable and view diplomacy as weakness---such people help to enable people like Hitler due to their stupidity over human nature. Citgo should also be boycotted because of the way Chavez treats his citizens, and because of his hatred for the US--that's YOU and ME, not just the President, as some losers would attempt to argue. Evil is a real force in this world, always has been, always will--just some people are too stupid or naive to grasp that concept (see Jimmy Carter).

You mean the agreement they signed back in November, 1999, to develop a couple of fields in the Persian Gulf? You're a little behind the curve, unless they've signed a more recent one that I haven't heard about.
Of course you're perfectly free to boycott Shell for any reason any time you want, but the US is not, and should not be, in a position to dictate to other countries who they will and will not deal with.
And don't forget that super "patriots" like Col. Oliver North and Adm. John Poindexter of the National Security Agency dealt (illegally) with Iran back during the Reagan administration. In case you don't remember, that was during the Iran-Iraq war, when we were openly supporting our then-buddy Saddam Hussein with intelligence, and (not so openly) with chemical weapons technology, to use against Iran, while at the same time Ollie and Co. were secretly (and illegally) selling arms to the Iranis and using the money to support (also illegally) the Nicaraguan Contras, the right-wing death squads who were trying to overthrow the democratically elected, albeit Socialist, government of that country. So, it's just a wee bit hypocritical of the US to go wagging it's finger at other countries just because they're not always willing to toe the American line.
But if you feel the overwhelming need to teach Shell a lesson for thumbing its nose at the US, you go right ahead and boycott.

I've been boycotting Shell for years because of their brutality in Nigeria.
On November 10, 1995, Nigerian poet and environmental activist Ken Saro-Wiwa and nine co-defendants were hanged by General Abacha, the dictator of Nigeria, despite international pleas for clemency. Ken Saro-Wiwa's crime was fighting against the exploitation of the Ogoni people and the destruction of their land by oil companies, including Mobil, Chevron, Texaco, and especially Shell.

How, exactly, does Shell signing a contract with another sovereign nation have anything to do with you and me? Should we boycott air because the Iranians breath? Or water because they drink?

It would take at least a million people, to effect anyone at shell, to even take notice. People have cars, trucks, SUV's, motor cycles, boats, rec vehicles. they ALL require oil/gas. People are not willing to give up their "wheels", for any reason. so boycott, and see if it gets their attention. And GOOD LUCK!!

That is a good reason to boycott. I tend to not buy from Shell anyway because they are usually the highest priced.

As an American you can do what you want, thank god for that. It was only a recommendation and not a warning. Know matter what we as citizens try to do or suggest anymore effects what our gov. does

I think that it's up to each individual to do what they want. I personally think we shouldn't.
