ok first of all if she cant afford the procedure im doubting she can afford to go out of the country...plus canada and the UK both do it free for their residents.....taxes are much higher in those countries so they get free healthcare. if you came from the US you would more than likely have to pay still or change residency. planned parenthood is the way to go, they will base the cost of the procedure on your income and in most cases set up a payment plan.

I live in California and I know that it is free here. When I was 18 I wanted to tie my tubes,(I have 2 kids) but they just told me I had to wait to be at least 25 or have more kids. I want to go get it done now that I am old enough. I am fine with my 2 kids. For a guy it is also free in California and it is an in and out procedure. They are limp for about 1 week- from what I hear. Good Luck!

Her husband is a real prince, isn't he?

It's MINOR surgery for a man. It's MAJOR surgery for a woman.

My vasectomy was no worse than a medium kick in the nads.

well there is no way to get it done any cheaper if thats what it costs, but maybe until they save up money she can get a IUD.? they last about 5 years and are pretty effective. her insurance might cover it also.

looked around and couldn't find anything that is cheaper, if she can't go out of the country, the next best thing I can think of is, in town at a medical school.

She cant force him to do anything. Too bad for her. If she wnats it that bad she needs a job, then maybe she can afford it. Why would she even consider forcing her husband to do something like that...

She could threaten him with a Lorena ... Or she could just set his butt up on the couch for the next year. That might change his mind.

He should be strapped down and forced to have it done... what a jerk. It's such a simple procedurefor the man, and a actual surgery for the woman... I can't believe he would want to put her through that, all for his stupid pride.

She could go to planed parenthood to do tubalication, which is permanent, but if she doesn't make that much they'll do it for free
