A national strike might work--and will not physically harm anyone. The problem being, how many people will be able to go without every-day items that they use.
To revolt would probably get people killed--or at least imprisoned for treason.
My idea would be each state taking itself over--away from the federal government. This way people could easily move to another state if they didn't like the politics and rules in theirs.

Gandhi over threw a government without firing a shot by using passive resistance. Of course to do that you will have to find enough people willing to get their heads smashed and not lift a finger to defend themselves. So think about the options most Americans have: Go to a rally and get my head split and go to jail, OR go home drink a six pack and watch reruns of friends. Hmmm, which do you think most 20-30 something Americans will choose? Armed insurrection will get you no where but dead quick unless you can raise quite a large guerrilla force and get them trained before being arrested or killed so I would say your best bet is passive resistance but good luck competing with beer, cigarettes, and NASCAR.
And all you people who say vote, some people are not alowed to vote. I am a convicted felon, and have been since I was 18. I'm 37 now and I just moved to a state were I will be alowed to vote for the first time in my life. I don't really see what my vote will accomlish but I give it.

The Secret Service DOES NOT play any games with these kinds of questions. Recently they in conjunction with the FBI investigated an 80 year old man in Pennsylvania who stated in a letter to a newspaper that he felt that "the wrong man had been hung" reffering to Saddam's execution.
Voting, and expecting more from our Senators and representatives is the best way to voice our opinion.
Be careful how you phrase things

Now the way the constitution has been eroded by the politicans, even a military revolution is far fetched.
Mass voting by an outraged populace would be the safest, but since the vote doesn't count for anything anymore, why bother?

What you're doing in your foolishness may result in a late-night visit from federal authorities. Seeking advice (conspiracy) on the overthrow of the U.S. Government is called "sedition" and you're flirting with it at the moment. If I were you, I'd think about withdrawing the question.

Every 100 years there is a revolution. Inform the American people what is really going on and something is bound to happen.

The next election. That's how you do it or impeachment.
That's why our method of governing is so great. We can get rid of the people trying to be dictators.

too many factors, the stock markets at all time highs, economy booming, plenty of jobs, high wages, safe place to live
the best way to over throw it would a supermassive strike that lasted for about a year.
