Was the world and it's creations created by random chance of no design? It's hard to believe that nothing created earth that has such intricate detail. Just the human body as one example is so complex. leaving religion aside, how did it happen? Is there a connection to our lack of awareness of the vast universe and beyond vs afterlife?

Hey there...interesting question...

Well I would suggest to you that in the process of life evolving,
things that worked survived, things that didn't work died out. So,
what we have is some fairly intricate designs that have developed over years and years to cope with the temperatures,
food supply, and self defenses needed to survive in this
place.

There is no connection whatsoever between our awareness
of the universe and afterlife. I firmly believe that the myth of afterlife is just that... a hope that something follows on afterward.
It is a nice story, but dust is dust no matter what they say.

Every effect has a cause. If the universe didn't used to exist, then something caused it to exist. I'd call that God. The complexity seen in life is not evidence of a creator. This complexity can be explained through evolution. It is the requirements of the first life forms that indicate the need for an intelligent designer. The simplest life form possible is required to have 72 different functions that all work together. That isn't going to just happen by it'self. Beyond the event horizon of our own universe there is an existance without time and space that we can not understand.

Another argument might say, that given how complex the universe is- there's no way any, even extremely intelligent and powerful being, could possibly have created it all.
