i want to just get info on a book not lke spark notes or anything like that but just something that will give me the page number the author date published ect.

Amazon.com usually gives all that information. Sometimes though, if it's an out of print book that's hard to find, that info isn't available. When you're looking at a particular book's page, on amazon, just scroll down to Product Details. That's where it lists that info.
