Shame is the admission of wrongdoing within the self. What shame? Did you cause it? Are you responsible for somehow being born a certain color? Is it a sin to be black? You cannot be ashamed of something you had no control over in any case. This is like saying, "Should I be ashamed of having big feet"?
Nor is there reason for pride. We are neither the cause nor the participant in the color of our skin. What is the reason for pride?

Why should anyone feel ashamed of the skin color they are born with, we don't have anything to do with what color we are. I think everyone should be proud themselves inside and out whether you Black or White or whatever. I'm Black and love my dark skin but more importantly I love who I am on the inside.
