I'd guess you scare the cr*p out of your supervisor because he/she feels threatened by supremely competent subordinates -- hopefully its just a matter of time someone up above notices too -- either that or the person doesn't understand perf reviews aren't only about nit-picking, but that positive things and contributions that don't need to be fixed need to be recognized

I make a point of just simply recognizing a job well done -- and that simple recognition inspires incredible loyalty

Take solice in the fact that this person is much more miserable in life than you, and take what criticisms they offer as constructive.

People like you move upwards and onwards to take the jobs of those like your boss. Keep on trudgin', soldier.
