That is the perhaps one of the best political ideas I have ever heard. Canadians have more in common with Americans than any other people in the world. The benefits with Mexico joining though are less appealing without some kind of immigration controls. It would benefit us more to help Mexico develop their economy more along North American line in services instead of being heavily dependent on energy and manufaturing. I would favor letting no more than Mexicans in than 1% fo the US population/year and encourage them to move more to places other than Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.

Perhaps a new flag would be completely blue with 3 white stars ( example: http://tinyurl.com/yukz47
Or a standard USA flag with a maple leaf inside the blue box instead of those stars.

I don't think there are many of us Canadians who share your zeal for this idea.

Here we have The largest supply of fresh water in the world, more oil than Saudi Arabia, a low crime rate, national health care....and the list goes on.

There is nothing appealing about becoming American to the average Canadian. Especially when you have a populace that is rude, discriminatory and under-educated.

We really don't want any part of that.....thanks anyway.
You might want to try the folks in Mexico.

The North American Union is BS; America is so diverse that while Canada may have a lot in common with the base Caucasian group, the rest will be alienated, and the Quebec people will be alienated from all of them. Besides which, This is a dangerous precedent to set. Not too long ago we ended fifty years of an undeclared war designed for us to keep our self-determination from Communist rule. Do we really want to render all that moot for the sake of "unity"? Not me.

There should be a North American Union, as a stepping-stone towards the eventual formation of a world federal government.

For the great factor about those who do not save on along with your link, the substance of the information tale is Obama's appointment of Ron Kirk as commerce chief. The appointment of Ron Kirk is SURREAL even as taken consisting of Obama's marketing campaign supplies about NAFTA and customarily about recuperating the lives of popular people. If that appointment isn't sufficient to cajole those that Obama is a CON, no longer some thing will be. They (Obama and his handlers and insiders) have become so boastful they are not even pretending to be on the area of the conventional people any more desirable - as further and further appointments are made that obviously tutor the prestige quo will proceed ON ALL FRONTS. to respond to your question .... the Obama administration will save on with the same route because the Bush administration because they answer to the same masters - the banksters and the corporate elite. to save u.s., people ought to awaken in time for 2012 to vote in structure-pleasant politicians. it ought to already be too previous due. Can center type u.s. live to inform the tale yet another 4 years of the prestige quo? per chance yet its questionable. Can center type u.s. live to inform the tale yet another 8 YEARS of the prestige quo. fairly no longer.
